JP Dark Secrets Fragrance ("we", "us", "our") runs darksecretsfragrance.com and our shop at GT-347-7394, 198 Spintex Road, Accra. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you shop with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle your information in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

1. Information we collect

• Order and contact details: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address when you place an order, create an account or contact us.
• Account details: if you register, your login details and order history. You can also check out as a guest without an account.
• Payment information: online payments are processed by Hubtel. We do not see or store your full card or mobile money details. For Cash on Delivery, payment is collected when your order arrives.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
• Reviews: your name and the review you submit.
• Browsing and device information: pages you visit, the page or advert that brought you to our site, your IP address and browser type, collected through cookies (see section 4).

2. How we use your information

• To process, deliver and support your orders, including sending order confirmations and delivery updates by email and SMS.
• To manage your account and respond to your questions, returns and complaints.
• To send our newsletter and offers, if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To understand which adverts and channels bring customers to our store, and to measure and improve our advertising.
• To protect our site against spam and fraud.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store, and only as needed:

• Hubtel: to process online payments.
• Delivery riders and parcel services: your name, phone number and address, to deliver your order.
• SMS and email providers: to send order notifications.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram): we use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to measure how our adverts perform. When you view products, add items to your cart, start checkout or buy, this activity may be shared with Meta. Contact details such as your email address and phone number are encrypted (hashed) before they are sent.
• Google reCAPTCHA: to check that forms are submitted by people, not bots.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may process information outside Ghana.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them to:

• Keep your cart and login working, and secure forms (essential cookies).
• Remember how you first arrived at our site and what brought you back, for up to 90 days, so we know which adverts and channels lead to sales.
• Measure advertising through the Meta Pixel.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, such as the cart, may stop working.

5. How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed for delivery, returns, accounting and tax purposes. We keep account and newsletter details until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
• Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
• Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
• Stop sending you marketing messages.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections across our website. No online service is completely secure, so please keep your account password private.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
